about me

Hello, friends! I'm so glad you are here. My name is Sarah and I have been baking for as long as I can remember. My grandma was an incredible baker, who taught my mom, who passed down her love of baking to me. 

About 13 years ago, my husband was diagnosed with celiac disease, right around the same time I found out about my own food allergies. It was a drastic change for our family to suddenly have to eat gluten free. It was a lot of trial and error (so many things ended up in the trash).
I have come quite a long way since then!

I started a gluten free baking blog about 10 years ago. It fulfilled my love for baking, as well as being able to share my recipes with others. I loved it! You can still find my recipes over at sarahbakesgfree.com

Our family has had quite a few big transitions in the last few years that altered my availability for the blog. I was still baking, but the blog took a back seat. I wasn't really sure what was next for me.

It has been a life-long dream of mine to open up my own gluten free bakery. I never thought it would be a reality, until I looked into getting my Cottage Food Operations License. It was a way for me to share my gluten free baked goods with not only my friends and family, but with my 
community as well. 

I'm thrilled for this new journey I'm on, as the business owner of Sarah Bakes. I can now share my beautifully created gluten free sweets with others. If you would like to place an order or ask a question, click here!
